CORPSE FACTORY is out now on Nintendo Switch!
almost 2 years ago – Wed, Jun 29, 2022 at 11:18:40 PM

The last few weeks have been a wild ride since we launched CORPSE FACTORY on Steam.

The game has received a wealth of positive reviews, press coverage and fan art. It has gained quite the little cult following, and we couldn’t be happier!

Today marks a special occasion for our team - and for you, our valuable supporters.

CORPSE FACTORY is now available on Nintendo Switch!

This is the first game we have ever published on a Nintendo console, and is definitely a lifelong dream come to fruition. Corpse Girl would be proud to see our ambitions achieved.

You can now play through the twisted story from the security and comfort of your couch. Or, for those of you daring enough, you can venture forth in handheld mode for on-the-go chills.

Kickstarter backers will receive download codes today via email. This email will come from Zak @ RIVER CROW STUDIO, so keep an eye out for it (and be sure to check your spam!)

Download codes can be claimed directly through the Nintendo eShop on your Switch console.

What’s next…?

The launch of the Nintendo Switch version is the last thing to tick off our (rather lengthy) to-do list!

All that remains now is to sit back, relax, and let Noriko’s cold, clammy fingers inch their way toward you…

CORPSE FACTORY lurched to life just 2 weeks ago on PC, and the positive response so far has been overwhelming!

With over 150 reviews on Steam and a Very Positive rating, we know that some of you are still waiting to sink your teeth into the Nintendo Switch version…

Today, we’re happy to announce that CORPSE FACTORY will release for Nintendo Switch on June 29 (USA) and June 30 (other regions).

For those of you checking your calendars, that’s only 2 weeks away!

In fact, you can even pre-order the game right now on the Nintendo eShop (USA):

https://www.nintendo.com/store/products/corpse-factory-switch/

We’re super excited to share this version of the game with you. While the content is identical to the PC release, it boasts the ability to be played on-the-go as well as in front of your TV. What more do you need to send chills down your spine?!

Other news

The Steam version of the game has just been updated with trading card support, so now you can collect some hauntingly beautiful cards as you play.

Physical goodies for Kickstarter backers are on their way out the factory door. Art books, tarot cards and mini posters have all finished shipping, so if you’re waiting on these, they’ll be with you soon.

The limited edition game, as well as the original soundtrack CD are all shipping out as we speak. We finally received the proof copies of these and were thankfully able to approve them immediately. Backer copies should be in your hands within the next 2 to 3 weeks, depending on your region.

What’s left?

Not much! Of course, we’ll announce it here as soon as the Nintendo Switch version is released! Digital backer codes will be sent out on release day for you to claim your backer copy on your console.

Until the next update…!

We’re still waiting on our own proof copies of the limited edition game and the original soundtrack CD. Once we’ve received and approved it, we can begin shipping to backers. If you ordered the limited edition game, don’t fret - you’ll also receive a digital copy to play straight away.

Release date announcement! [Spoiler: This month!]
almost 2 years ago – Sun, May 08, 2022 at 03:44:38 PM

It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for…

Corpse Girl has cracked open the sarcophagus of secrets and is finally ready to reveal CORPSE FACTORY’s release date.

The game will be released on PC on May 31 (PDT)!

This release includes the Steam version as well as the DRM-free version selected by some backers.

The game is fully compatible with gamepads, as well as traditional keyboard/mouse input. If you’re playing on Steam, you can also unlock Steam Achievements and take advantage of Steam Cloud features. Plus, trading cards will be coming shortly after launch!

So, when is the Nintendo Switch version coming out…?

Soon! We’re working hard on this version and putting the final touches on it. This version of the game is reliant on a few important external factors, such as Nintendo approval and testing, as well as various age rating agencies. The game has been age rated for most territories, but we need to re-submit to New Zealand for an updated rating before release.

We’ll share an updated Nintendo Switch release date as soon as we have it.

What’s happening with Kickstarter rewards?

Backers who have selected the PC version of the game will receive their game codes to claim on release day.

Backers who have selected the Nintendo Switch version will need to wait a little longer until this particular version has been released. If you’re eager to sink your teeth into the game, and want to swap your Nintendo Switch version for a PC version, no problem! Please contact us via Kickstarter and we’ll sort this out for you.

Merchandise rewards will be shipping very shortly. The art book, tarot cards and mini posters have all been proofed and are ready to go. We’re still waiting on proof copies of the limited edition physical copy and the original soundtrack CDs. All of these items are manufactured in the USA, and there are various shipping restrictions in place at the moment. As soon as we have proof copies in our hands and we approve them, we’ll begin shipping to backers!

We want to extend a huge thanks to you, our patient backers!

Although the game has taken a little longer to produce than intended, we’re very, very happy with the finished product. We even managed to sneak a little extra in than originally planned - the voice acting is phenomenal and we’re confident it will blow you away. Plus, the original theme song performed by Emi Evans and Alec Shea is mind-meltingly cool.

We sincerely hope you enjoy the game on release day! Thank you for your ongoing support!
